Born in Providence R.I., Cyd began playing guitar when some high school friends taught him a few basic chords. This began his love affair with the guitar. Being brought up with a solid music foundation since childhood, Cyd began to develop his inner core with the influences of such bands as the Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, Guns 'n Roses, and Ozzy. Amazed by the new sounds he was experiencing, Cyd latched on to what was going to become his personal influences on the guitar - Jimmy Page, Zakk Wylde, and Slash. This was where he found a passion for the tone of the Les Paul played through the Marshall stack.
Cyd then formed a couple of projects on his own before joining Sal, though neither of them would realize that their aspirations would lead them to Against the Natural. Sensing, along with Sal, that Arizona was the place to be, they relocated to Phoenix.
This would be the start of Cyd's trials and tribulations that would make him into the musician and creative being that he is today.
Since forming ATN, Cyd has collaborated in a variety of projects and also performed as a studio musician. In between recordings and show dates, he writes for his side project Simply Chaotic and sells his art which includes oil painting and photography on his on-line art gallery, “Emotionz Art Gallery”.
